    Result of the Korean Language Test published - 8,722 pass Korean language test

    The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has published result of the Korean Language Test (KLT) under the Employment Permit System (EPS) on Monday.

    As per the result, only 8,722 have passed the test out of 44,137 examinees. The test was held on Oct 6 and 7 in Kathmandu. Of the candidates who have passed the language test, 3,762 will be working in the agricultural sector and 4,960 will be working in the industrial sector after they fly to South Korea.

    The DoFE managed to publish result of the EPS-KLT as the Korean Human Resource Development (HRD) provided results to the DoFE after checking the answer sheets of the examinees. According to the DoFE, 519 youths did not complete the test even after submitting forms.

    South Korea has been one of the best destinations for the Nepali migrant workers for the past few years. Last year, South Korea had received around 5,800 Nepalis. Around 16,000 Nepali workers have been working in Korea under EPS.

    Nepalis work in Korea´s agriculture and manufacturing sector. South Korea recruits foreign workers under EPS in agriculture, manufacturing, construction, fishery and service sectors.
