Vacancy announcement from Oxfam

Oxfam is responding in these areas: Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dhading, Sindhupalchowk, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. We are urgently looking for dynamic team players in the following positions for our response programme.

1. Protection Coordinator - Fixed term contract based in Kathmandu 
Requirements: First degree, preferably in sociology / anthropology / humanitarian (Int Law, protection). Proven experience of involvement in humanitarian response work, preferably in field-based protection work in natural disaster affected or insecure environments.

2. Safety & Security Coordinator - Fixed term contract based in Kathmandu 
Requirements: First degree education with additional courses related to safety and security. Proven experience of conducting safety / security assessment, planning and implementation of procedures in emergency and development work, and an understanding of relevant humanitarian and policy issues.

3. PHP Assistant - Five months (extendable) fixed term contract Sindhupalchowk. Key Requirements: Suitable qualification in any discipline relating to Public Health Promotion is the necessary educational background. Practical experience in appropriate water supplies, sanitation and hygiene promotion, working with communities and mobilizing them for action. It is desirable that some of this should have been in emergency relief programmes.
