“The program has been organized to promote UK education and increase the understanding of the UK’s expertise in education. The program’s objective is also to provide proper guidance and information on different UK universities,” informed Rita Rajbhandary, communications officer at British Council.
The main highlights of the program include not just the stalls representing each university but also interactions and meetings with different representatives from host institutions and scholarship guidance as well.
“Students will get the opportunity to directly interact with the UK representatives who will answer all the queries and also give information regarding different fields and study programs. Deserving candidates can even avail of the scholarships and can get selected for admission on the spot,” said Rajbhandari.
“The exhibition is focused on giving complete guidance on getting a UK degree and also on career opportunities that will enable the students to make right career choice. So this will be a full-fledged informative event,” she put in.
“This is the biggest annual event the British Council has been organizing since 2007 and this time we have invited 21 different institutions,” said Sudeep Khanal, education promotion officer, British Council.
He further said that the British Council has been providing free counseling on studying in the UK, including getting a VISA and how to live and survive in the UK.
“This event will provide the biggest opportunity for interaction among the students, alumni, career advisors, agents and representatives,” said Khanal, adding that different fields of study, including health, nursing, business studies and IT that are relevant and mostly opted by the students who go to UK, will feature in the exhibition.
