Nepal Bank Limited is currently accepting applications from highly qualified, goal oriented and motivated Nepali Citizens for the position of Chief Treasury for Two (2) years subject to further extension of contract. The salary and benefits are negotiable. The Chief Treasurer's Job is to help support Bank to maximize transaction volume and increase the overall profit of the Bank.

Responsible for: Overall functioning and operation of Treasury

Major Job Duties:
> Responsible for funding the Bank's book in the safest and most cost effective manner.
> Assist in preparation of annual budget, including development of Treasury budget.
> Develop, implement, analyze and engage in dealing day to day Local and International Money and Foreign Exchange market for the bank identifying profitable opportunities divesting NBL resources to ensure maximum profit.
> Develop long and short term investment plan in money market and foreign exchange transaction.
> Engage in pricing & trading of Treasury products, adhering to regulatory & internal risk limits.
> Profitably manage interest rate exposures and foreign exchange positions of NBL within approved limits and as per NRB guideline.
> Promote a risk awareness culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
> Monitor interest rate risk, liquidity risk, FOREX risks and fund management position.
> Develop policy & procedure to initiate FOREX business like NDF, Forward, Discounting etc.
> Perform other duties as assigned by the top management.
> Knowledge of ALM and liquidity management,
> Ability to work under pressure.
> Strong (verbal & written) communication skills.
> Ability to negotiate in domestic & International Market.
> Strong Analytical capabilities with an aptitude for problem solving
> Self motivated, strong work ethics, result oriented having integrity and trust.
> Working knowledge of bond market, commodity market, interest rate curves and the impact of economic and Central Bank activities on treasury business.
> Strong knowledge of national & international economy, industry, Trade Policy, Financial Management, Stock Market & Political Developments.
Academic Qualification: Masters Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration or CA.
> 5 Years of minimum experience in banking including 2 Years of experience in senior level position in treasury unit/department in Commercial Bank,
> Knowledge of using and acquiring information via Reuters and Bloomberg
