The Asia Foundation invites applications from Nepali citizens with a Master's degree or higher in social science, law, public policy, or development who meet the following requirements for:
1. Position; Program Manager
• Minimum experience of 2 years in position and 6 years overall
• Knowledge of technical approaches and experience of managing programs dealing with governance, justice, gender equity and social inclusion, human rights or other related fields
• Understanding of Nepal's political, legal, and regulatory frameworks addressing local governance, gender equity, or social inclusion
• Broad experience of policy advocacy and program implementation with state and nonstate stakeholders at national and local levels
• Familiarity with civil society organizations and networks
• Ability to mentor
2. Position: Program Officer
• Minimum experience of 3 years in position
• Experience of programs related to law, peace building and conflict transformation, local governance, gender equity, or social inclusion
• Understanding of grassroots-level program implementation issues related to law, peace building and conflict transformation, local governance, gender equity, or social inclusion In addition, applicants must have:
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and organizations.
• Ability to selfstart and multitask
• Ability and willingness to travel upto 40% time
• Strong analytical skills matched with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali
