    TU CMAT Entrance Exam Model Question Answer; Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness



    CMAT is central management aptitude Entrance test taken by Tribhuvan University. Every applicant of BBA/ BIM/ BHM/ BTTM / BBM/ BMS/ BPA/ BBA-Finance Programme is required to appear in the Entrance Test (CMAT) conducted by Faculty of Management, TU. The test follows the standard testing pattern and includes areas like Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.

    The examination is generally held in the month of August / September after the announcement of the Class 12 result.

    The CMAT entrance exam consists of both written exam, interview and group discussion. The 90 minutes CMAT exam consists of altogether one hundred (100) objective questions containing twenty-five (25) questions in each section (Verbal Ability , Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness) with a total weight of 100 marks. The students must secure at least 40% to qualify for the examinations.

    The colleges running the program also conduct the individual presentations, Group Discussion, interviews for selecting suitable candidates. Applicants securing above cut off point marks in the CMAT will be short-listed. Then the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed and selected for admission.

    According to the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University to participate in the CMAT examination students must have secured a
    > Minimum D grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 1.8 or more
    Or
    > A minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL, or Equivalent in any discipline.
    Or
    > Students who are waiting for upgrading their results can also apply. However, they have to submit passed certificate of grades 11 and 12 at the time of admission.
    > For students who took the Grade 12 exams in 2078 or earlier, the prior eligibility criterion of a D+ will apply.

    Merit List
    Admissions will be strictly on the basis of merit list. The merit list is prepared on the basis of
    CMAT for BBA / BIM / BBM / BPA / BBA-F
    - 60% of marks secured in the CMAT Entrance examination;
    - 30% of marks secured in percentage in plus two or equivalent;
    - 10% Interview.

    CMAT for BHM/ BTTM / BMS
    - 50% of marks secured in the CMAT Entrance examination;
    - 30% of marks secured in percentage in plus two or equivalent;
    - 10% Interview.
    - 10% Group Discussion

    CMAT EXAMINATION:
    The CMAT exam scores the candidates on the basis of their knowledge/aptitude in verbal ability, quantitative ability, logical reasoning, and general awareness. The test is based on the SAT format.

    Full Marks: 100
    Pass Marks: 40
    Time: 90 Minutes

    1. Verbal Ability Section: Questions: 25; Marks: 25

    Verbal ability is test designed to check the skills of the students in the field of word power to express ideas using words. To score in verbal ability, one should improve vocabulary and grammatical skills.  Verbal Ability comprises 25 out of 100 Marks in the syllabus in Central Management Admission Test (CMAT).

    2. Quantitative Aptitude Section: Questions: 25; Marks: 25
    Quantitative aptitude tests students ability to solve mathematical problem critically with the use of logical and analytical skills.Quantitative Aptitude Section comprises 25 out of 100 Marks in the syllabus in Central Management Admission Test (CMAT)

    3. Logical Reasoning : Questions: 25; Marks: 25
    Logical reasoning tests are a broad group of aptitude tests in which premises and relations between premises are used in a rigorous manner to find out conclusions implied by the premises and relations.
    In Central Management Admission Test (CMAT), logical reasoning comprises 25 out of 100 Marks in the syllabus.

    4. General Awareness : Questions: 25; Marks: 25
    General Awareness covers currents affairs ( Business, Politics,Economy, Sports), Science & Literature, various Management Theories, Interesting and Current Fact. In Central Management Admission Test (CMAT), general awareness comprises 25 out of 100 Marks in the syllabus
