    Undergraduate Scholarships from University of Sydney, Australia

    The University of Sydney is an Australian public research university in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1850, it is Australia's first university and is regarded as one of the country's leading universities. The University of Sydney has many scholarships available for international students. There are also scholarships that are funded by the government and various industries. Because of the variety of scholarships on offer, the eligibility criteria for each of them are different.

    Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships Scheme
    The Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships are awarded to exceptional international students based on academic merit.  The Scholarship is open to all commencing international students enrolling in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework full degree.

    The VCIS is a scholarship offered on commencement of a coursework degree (it is only awarded once during first year of commencement and not renewable for following years). Up to $40,000 scholarship to support high-achieving international students to pursue coursework studies at the University of Sydney.

    Who's eligible
    You must:
    > Be an international student
    > Have applied for but not yet commenced a bachelor’s degree or a coursework master’s degree that is a CRICOS registered award program usually delivered onshore at the University of Sydney
    > Receive an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant close date.

    Level of study
    Undergraduate

    Scholarship value and duration: Four scholarship amounts may be offered
    >$40,000 payable for one year in two equal instalments per semester
    >$20,000 payable for one semester
    >$10,000 payable for one semester
    >$5,000 payable for one semester

    The availability of some amounts may be limited to specified cohorts.

    How to apply:
    No application is required, as all eligible students who have secured an unconditional offer of admission by the following dates, will be automatically considered:

    Semester 1, 2023
    Round 1: 1 September 2022
    Round 2: 1 November 2022
    Round 3: 15 January 2023

    Semester 2, 2023
    Round 1: 1 March 2023
    Round 2:  14 April 2023
    Round 3: 19 June 2023
