Undergraduate Scholarships from University of Sydney, Australia

The University of Sydney is an Australian public research university in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1850, it is Australia's first university and is regarded as one of the country's leading universities. The University of Sydney has many scholarships available for international students. There are also scholarships that are funded by the government and various industries. Because of the variety of scholarships on offer, the eligibility criteria for each of them are different.

Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships Scheme
The Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships are awarded to exceptional international students based on academic merit.  The Scholarship is open to all commencing international students enrolling in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework full degree.

Open to:
> To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be an international student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003.
> The applicant must have applied for but not yet commenced a CRICOS-registered Bachelor’s degree or Master’s by coursework degree at the University of Sydney. The course must be delivered face-to-face (not online) and delivered onshore in Australia.

> Applicants commencing a second degree at the University of Sydney are eligible provided they have not previously held the Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships.

Scholarship value and duration: Four scholarship amounts may be offered
>$40,000 payable for one year in two equal instalments per semester
>$20,000 payable for one semester
>$10,000 payable for one semester
>$5,000 payable for one semester

The availability of some amounts may be limited to specified cohorts.

All eligible students with an unconditional offer by the round closing dates listed below will be considered.There is no separate application for this scholarship, all eligible students will automatically be considered.

To qualify, secure an Unconditional Offer of Admission before the following dates:
> Round 1 - 11 October 2019
> Round 2 - 06 December 2019
> Round 3 - 17 January 2020

> Round 1 - 27 March 2020
> Round 2 - 24 April 2020
> Round 3 - 12 June 2020

Successful applicants will be notified approximately 4 weeks after the round closing date. Please note only successful applicants will be contacted.
