KUUMAT stands for Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission
Test. This test is taken by Kathmandu University School of Management
(KUSOM) with an aim to recruit quality students to its affiliated colleges and
is a compulsory requirement for applying to get admission.
The KUUMAT entrance
applications is generally announced on the month of June and the exam is
generally held in the month of July.
The admission to BBA, BBIS,
BBA (Hons)/BBA (Emphasis)/ BHM/ BPA programs of Kathmandu University (KU) is
strictly merit-based and will be determined by the scores in KUUMAT.
Eligibility:
Nepali or non-Nepali national with a 10+2 or intermediate or equivalent level study program of at least two-year duration in any discipline with minimum of 40% in aggregate or CGPA of 1.6 on the scale of 4.0 and minimum ‘D+’ grade in each subject from a university/board recognized by Kathmandu University. GCE Advanced Level student should have passed minimum three subjects in A Level and one general paper in AS Level with marks/grades requirements as mentioned above. International Baccalaureate (IB) students should have passed minimum 6 courses (at least 3 courses in Higher Level) with 24 points in aggregate. CTEVT student should have three-year diploma with 40% in aggregate. CBSE student should have minimum 40% in aggregate. Ten percent seats are reserved for foreign Students.
