    Government honors the best schools and colleges on National Education Day 2080


    The Government of Nepal celebrated and honored outstanding educational institutions across various categories on the occasion of National Education Day 2080, reinforcing its commitment to advancing the country's educational landscape. The awards were given to schools, colleges, private institutions, and technical schools that have consistently demonstrated excellence in their respective fields.

    The awards, which honor educational excellence, community service, and technical ingenuity, include national shields, flags, and cash prizes ranging from NPR 1 lakh to 3 lakhs. The award is intended to both honor and stimulate educational advancement in Nepal.

    The Ministry-curated awards are intended to recognize exceptional performance in various aspects of education. These include accomplishments in the 2079 Secondary Education Examination (SEE), teaching quality, and contributions to community welfare.

    Top Performing Community Schools in Nepal
    Honors were bestowed in the Community Schools category based on the outstanding results obtained in the 2079 secondary education passing examination from public schools across the country. The following were the winners:
    1. Kamala Secondary School, Maini, Dudhauli, Sindhuli
    2. Kamala Secondary School, Dhungrebas, Sindhuli
    3. Narayan Secondary School, Rumal Gaun, Salyan

    Top Performing Private Schools in Nepal
    Recognition was bestowed in the Private Schools category based on outstanding results in the 2079 secondary education passing examination from private investment schools across the country. The top-performing schools were as follows:
    1. Prasadi Academy, Lalitpur
    2. St. Xavier's, Maitighar
    3. Budhanilkantha School, Budhanilkantha

    Best Technical Institutions
    Recognizing the importance of technical education, the Ministry has given the following awards in collaboration with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT):
    1. Korea Nepal, Rupandehi
    2. Manmohan Memorial Polytechnic, Morang
    3. Life Line Hospital, Damak, Jhapa
    4. Adarsha Secondary School, Biratnagar, Morang

    Top Colleges
    Three institutions stood out as the best among university campuses at the national level in a notable display of academic excellence at the college level. Based on evaluations conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the institutions were recognized for their exceptional performance. These institutions have consistently demonstrated educational excellence, producing graduates who excel in a variety of fields:

    1.Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur
    2. Lumbini Banijya Campus, Butwal, Rupandehi
    3. Kathmandu Model College, Bagbazaar, Kathmandu

    Social Welfare Education Award
    The Social Welfare Education Award, a significant addition to the awards, recognized organizations that have made significant contributions by providing education while also caring for underprivileged children, such as street children, children of HIV/AIDS-infected parents, orphans, and disabled children.
