The awards were given to schools, colleges, private institutions, and technical schools that have consistently demonstrated excellence in their respective fields.

The awards, which honor educational excellence, community service, and technical ingenuity, include national shields, flags, and cash prizes ranging from NPR 1 lakh to 3 lakhs. The award is intended to both honor and stimulate educational advancement in Nepal.

Best GCE A level colleges in Nepal ; Top Schools to study A-Level

The General Certificate of Education (GCE) 'AS' and 'A' Levels, administered by Cambridge University's Cambridge Assessment International Examination (CAIE), is among the most widely recognized qualifications for secondary level education worldwide. GCE 'A' Level is one of the most sought-after courses in the world due to its stream flexibility, gold standard academic curriculum, and global recognition.

The course is typically completed over two years as an Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level and an Advanced (A or A2) level. In Nepal, 'A' Level is equivalent to Secondary (10+2) / two-year Intermediate level studies or PCL/Diploma Level. Students who complete the course can enroll in medical/engineering universities or further their study in Management, IT, Pure Sciences, or Social Sciences. The A-Level programme, which began almost three decades ago at Budhanilkantha School, is now provided by major institutions in the country, and students choose it over the Plus-two programme for a variety of reasons.The "quality and type of learning" are the key draws of the A-level programme. The course design for A-Level topics, as well as the program's international recognition, appear to provide a variety of advantages to students who pursue this system.A-Level students can readily adjust to international courses because the course structure reflects values comparable to foreign courses in demanding critical and research abilities as well as conceptual knowledge.

Similarly, the Non-Science stream is divided into two groups: Management (which includes Accounting, Business, and Economics) and Humanities (which includes Economics, Sociology, and Psychology). Eligible applicants are required to appear in the entrance test commonly known as Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management. The test will follow the international testing pattern and standards. It includes the areas like:

> Logical reasoning
> General awareness


There shall be altogether one hundred (100) objective questions in the CMAT containing twenty (25) questions in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. Student must secure a minimum of 40% in the CMAT in order to qualify for the interview.

Applicants securing above cut off point marks in the CMAT will be short-listed. Only short listed candidates will be interviewed and selected for admission.
