Tribhuvan University Master of Science (MSc) Entrance Exam Notice 2082 (2025)

Tribhuvan University (TU), Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), Office of the Dean has published notice regarding entrance examination for new admissions at the master's level under the grading system for 2082 BS for the following programs:

- MSc in Biodiversity and Environmental Management
- MSc Computer Science and Information Technology
- MTech Food Technology
- MSc in Botany
- MSc Meteorology
- MSc Zoology
- MSc Physics
- MSc Chemistry
- MSc Statistics
- Master in Data Science
- MSc in Environmental Health in Disaster
- Master of Information Technology
- Master of Science in Mountain and Mountaineering Science

Eligibility for Master of Science
Candidates should have Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in related subjects from Tribhuvan University or any education institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.

- Application Start Date: Mangsir 11, 2082 (November 27, 2025) at 10:00 AM
- Application Deadline: Poush 11, 2082 (December 26, 2025)
- Application Fee: NPR 2200 (Two thousand two hundred only)
- Entrance Exam Date, Time: Mangsir 13, 2082 (November 29, 2025) at 11:00 AM ( as per notice on 2082-08-12)
- Exam Center: Jana Prasashan Campus, Balkhu, Kathmandu ( as per notice on 2082-08-12)





Applicants should  filled out application form for the entrance examination of the Institute of Science and Technology (IOST) via the M.Sc. Entrance Examination link available on the website: iost.tu.edu.np. The online application must be submitted through the same website.

Interested students are informed to visit the website of the respective Central Department of their chosen subject to learn about minimum eligibility criteria and model questions.

MSc Entrance Examination Details
- The entrance exam will be worth 100 full marks and the duration will be 2 hours. In which the related subject of B.Sc or similar will be as per the syllabus prescribed by the committee.
- The questions will be Objective or Multiple choice questions. Each question will carry 1 (one) weightage.
- To pass the entrance examination, 35% marks must be obtained.
- The sample question paper of the entrance examination can be viewed from the webpage of the concerned central department.
