If you are looking to support flood relief efforts in Nepal, you can
contribute directly to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. Support
nationwide disaster rescue, relief and rehabilitation operations
On
Wednesday, 10 Bhadra 2083 (26 August 2026) at 8:40 AM, a massive flood in the
Bhote Koshi River of Rasuwa District caused heavy loss of life and property.
The flood severely impacted riverbank areas in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and
Gorkha districts. The government immediately started search, rescue, and
emergency relief operations, while work to assess the total human and material
damage is currently ongoing. Moving survivors to safe places is urgent, and
arranging their long-term rehabilitation is just as critical. The Government
of Nepal makes a sincere appeal to all citizens, organizations, and
institutions to provide financial support to the Prime Minister’s Natural
Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund at the Office of the
Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
