The Government of Nepal has announced a new salary scale for government
employees including Healthcare Employees/ Workers, increasing overall monthly
remuneration by around 21%, to be effective from Shrawan 1, 2083 (July 17,
2026). The basic salary increases by 10%, while an additional 10% monthly
incentive and the existing Rs. 5,000 dearness allowance together raise the
overall monthly remuneration by around 21%. In health services, the salary for an officer at the twelfth level has reached 84,576 rupees.
The revision was
unveiled by Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle while presenting the FY 2083/84
national budget, marking the first major salary revision in four years.
