The Government of Nepal has announced a new salary scale for government
employees including officials in Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Patrol
Force (APF) Nepal, increasing overall monthly remuneration by around 21%, to
be effective from Shrawan 1, 2083 (July 17, 2026).
The basic
salary increases by 10%, while an additional 10% monthly incentive and the
existing Rs. 5,000 dearness allowance together raise the overall monthly
remuneration by around 21%.
