    1. UBC International Leader of Tomorrow Award

    Description
    This need-and-merit-based award recognizes international undergraduate students who demonstrate superior academic achievement, leadership skills, involvement in student affairs and community service, and recognized achievement in other key areas.

    The value of your Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Award is proportional to your financial need. Financial need is determined by totalling tuition, fees, and living costs, and subtracting the financial contribution you and your family can make each year. A standard needs assessment is based on the financial information provided by you and your family.

    Your award may be renewed for up to three additional years of undergraduate study or to degree completion – whichever comes first – provided you achieve satisfactory academic standing in your faculty, continue to demonstrate financial need, and maintain your Canadian study permit (student visa).

    Eligibility
    To be considered for the International Leader of Tomorrow Award:
    > You must be an international student who will be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit.
    > You must be entering UBC from a recognized secondary school, college, or other university.
    > You must be applying for your first undergraduate degree.
    > You must meet UBC’s admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Admission Standard.
    > You must demonstrate superior academic achievement (achieve all As or equivalent standard).
    > You must demonstrate a level of financial need that would otherwise prevent you from pursuing a UBC degree.

    Please note: If you are nominated for an International Leader of Tomorrow Award, you will not be considered for merit-based awards, including International Major Entrance Scholarships and Outstanding International Student Awards.

    2. Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program at University of Toronto

    Description
    The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships at the University of Toronto provide an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students to study at one of the world’s best universities in one of the world’s most multicultural cities. The scholarship program is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school. A special emphasis is placed on the impact the student has had on the life of their school and community, and their future potential to contribute positively to the global community.

    Awarded annually, these scholarships recognize outstanding students from around the world, including international students studying at Canadian high schools. This is U of T’s most prestigious and competitive scholarship for international students. The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years. The scholarship is tenable only at the University of Toronto. Each year approximately 37 students will be named Lester B. Pearson Scholars.

    Eligibility
    To be eligible to apply to the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be:
    > an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit);
    > currently in your final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2019
    > beginning your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2020 (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their studies in January 2020 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered)

    To become a Pearson Scholar, you must be nominated by your school and apply to undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. Ask your school guidance counsellor about being nominated. Once you've been nominated and have applied to the University of Toronto, you will be sent a personalized, secure link to the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship application.

    3. Emile Boutmy Scholarships for Non-EU Students at Sciences Po
    University/ College:  Sciences Po University, Paris, France
    For studies at: Bachelors/Masters Degree

    Description
    Sciences Po created the Emile-Boutmy scholarship, named after the founder of Sciences Po (1871), in order to welcome the very best international students from outside the European Union. The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top students whose profiles match the admissions priorities of Sciences Po and individual course requirements.

    Eligibility
    To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be, first time applicants, from a non-European Union state, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master's programme.

    This scholarship is not automatically awarded: candidates must indicate their wish to apply directly in their online bachelor or master’s application form.

    4. UBC International Merit Scholarships

    Description
    International Major Entrance Scholarships (IMES) are awarded to exceptional international students entering undergraduate programs at UBC. Students receive their IMES when they enter their first year at UBC, and the scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years of study. The number and level of these scholarships awarded each year vary, depending on available funding.

    Eligibility:
    To be considered for the IMES, you must:
    > Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college).
    > Be an international student who will be studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa). (Changes to your citizenship status will affect your IMES eligibility.)
    > Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual promise, as well as impressive extracurricular and community involvement.
    > Not be nominated for a need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.

    5. Donald A. Wehrung International Student Award

    Description
    This need-and-merit-based award recognizes outstanding international undergraduate students from impoverished or war-torn areas who have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances, and who would be unable to attend university without financial assistance.

    The value of your Donald A. Wehrung International Student Award is proportional to your demonstrated financial need and sufficient to cover living expenses and tuition costs for your degree of study.

    Your award may be renewed for up to three additional years of undergraduate study or to degree completion – whichever comes first – provided you achieve satisfactory academic standing in your faculty, continue to demonstrate financial need, and maintain your Canadian study permit (student visa).

    Eligibility:
    To be considered for the Donald A. Wehrung International Student Award:
    > You must be an international student who will be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit.
    > You must be graduating or have recently graduated from a recognized senior secondary school.
    > You must be applying for your first undergraduate degree.
    > You must meet UBC’s admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Admission Standard.
    > You must demonstrate superior academic achievement (achieve all As or equivalent standard) and leadership potential.
    > You must come from a war-torn, politically unstable, or economically disadvantaged region of the world.
    > You must have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances and have no financial means from family or other sources to pursue post-secondary education in your own country (because it is unavailable or unattainable) or outside your country (because it is unaffordable).

    6. ICSP Scholarships at University of Oregon USA

    For studies at: Bachelors Degree

    Description
    International students who demonstrate financial need and exceptional merit may apply for the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP). Selected ICSP students receive a tuition-waiver scholarship ranging from 0 – 15 non-resident academic credits per term. The scholarship amount will remain consistent each term. ICSP students agree to complete 80 hours per year of cultural service as required by the program. Cultural service can include speaking or giving demonstrations to schools or community groups about the heritage and culture of your country or participating in international events on campus.

    Eligibility
    > Applicants must be admissible or fully admitted to the University of Oregon. New students must apply for admission to the UO for 2019-20 by January 15, 2019. To apply for admission click here.
    > Applicants cannot be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or eligible to receive U.S. federal financial assistance.
    > Applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet the minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA requirement.

    7. WMI Empowerment Through Education Scholarships for Developing Country Students
    University/ College:  Wells Mountain Initiative
    For studies at: Bachelors Degree
    Study in: any developing country

    Description
    The scholarship awards are determined by the board of directors of the Wells Mountain Initiative and awarded once a year. Applications must be received by April 1 of each year to be considered for the following academic year. The selected WMI Scholarship recipients will be emailed on August 1. Their names will also be published on our website homepage and the WMI Facebook page. Those who do not receive a scholarship will also be notified after August.

    Eligibility
    > Successfully completed a secondary education, with good to excellent grades
    > Is 35 or under on March 1, 2020
    > Will be studying in his or her country or another country in the developing world*
    > Is pursuing his or her first bachelor’s degree or diploma
    > Will be enrolled in a program of study that will benefit the community and/or contribute to the continued growth and advancement of his or her home country
    > Plans to live and work in his or her own country after graduation
    > Has demonstrated his or her commitment to giving back and has volunteered prior to applying
    > May have some other funds available for his or her education, but will not be able to go to pursue his or her tertiary degree without financial assistance

    > December 1, 2019 – The 2020 WMI Scholars Program application will be available on our website. Completed 2020 applications will start to be accepted on this date.
    > March 1, 2020 – The 2020 WMI Scholars Program application deadline.

    No matter what you may be told there are NO FEES required to submit a scholarship application to the Wells Mountain Initiative! You only need to submit a complete application through our website, by our one deadline each year of April 1. If someone contacts you saying a fee is required, please forward that email to info@wellsmountaininitiative.org. We would very much like to prosecute this fraud.

    8. The Denys Holland Scholarship at University College London, UK
    University/ College:  University College London, UK
    For studies at: Bachelors Degree

    Description
    The Denys Holland Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from any country, who without the support of the scholarship would be unable to secure the funding required to study at UCL, and whom can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union.

    Eligibility
    > hold a valid UCL Student Number;
    > hold a valid UCAS Personal ID (not UCAS Registration number);
    > hold an offer of admission to UCL for full-time undergraduate study commencing in
    September 2020, in any department;
    > be in financial need;
    > be able to demonstrate that they have broad interests and intend to be actively involved in and contribute to the life of the university.

    The scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need, subject to applicants demonstrating their intention to play a full part in extracurricular activities of UCL and the Students Union.

    Value: benefits and duration
    The scholarship is worth £9,000 per year for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

    9. Australia Awards Scholarships

    Description
    Australia Awards Scholarships are long-term awards administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. They aim to contribute to the development needs of Australia's partner countries in line with bilateral and regional agreements.

    They provide opportunities for people from developing countries, particularly those countries located in the Indo-Pacific region, to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.

    What benefits are provided as part of Australia Awards Scholarships?
    The Awards are offered for the minimum period necessary for the individual to complete the academic program specified by the Australian higher education institution, including any preparatory training. The following benefits generally apply:
    > full tuition fees
    > return air travel—payment of a single return, economy class airfare to and from Australia, via the most direct route
    > establishment allowance—a once only payment as a contribution towards accommodation expenses, text books, study materials
    > Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE) – a fortnightly contribution to basic living expenses paid at a rate determined by the department.
    > Introductory Academic Program (IAP)—a compulsory program prior to the commencement of formal academic studies covering information on living and studying in Australia
    > Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of the award (for award holder only)—provided to cover the scholar's basic medical costs (with the exception of pre-existing conditions)
    > Pre-course English (PCE) fees—if deemed necessary PCE may be available for students for in-country and/or in-Australia training
    > supplementary scademic support may be available to ensure a scholar's academic success or enhance their academic experience
    > fieldwork (for research awards and Masters by coursework which have a research component where fieldwork is compulsory) may be available for eligible research students for one return economy class airfare via the most direct route to their country of citizenship or within Australia.

    Description
    The International Undergraduate Scholarships were established by the University of Melbourne in recognition of the significant contribution made by international student to the diversity of the University's student population.

    Total value: up to $56,000
    Applicable study areas: All study areas
    Number of scholarships awarded: Approximately 50

    Benefits
    > $10,000 tuition fee remission in the first year of an undergraduate degree,
    > 50 per cent fee remission for the three year duration of an undergraduate degree, or
    > 100 per cent fee remission for the three year duration of an undergraduate degree

    To be considered for a fee remission scholarship you must:
    > be a citizen of a country other than Australia and New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia;
    > have received an offer for an undergraduate course at the University of Melbourne;
    > have achieved excellent final year school results, such as:
    - at least four A* grades in the GCE A Levels
    - at least 97% in an approved foundation program
    - at least a score of 43 in the International Baccalaureate (IB)
    - not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program)

    11. International Undergraduate Scholarships from Capital University,USA

    Description
    99% of first-year, full-time undergraduate international students receive some type of achievement-based financial assistance.

    The University offers several scholarships for international students. These are as follows:
    International Scholarship ($18,000, $20,000 or $24,000)
    Award based on academic performance and standardized test scores. This tuition-based award is renewable if you are enrolled as a full-time student and your cumulative GPA is 2.00 or higher. Awards are made for a maximum of eight fall and spring semesters (four years) to students seeking their first undergraduate degree.

    International Scholarship ($18,000, $20,000 or $24,000)
    Level 1: $18,000
    Level 2: $20,000
    Level 3: $24,000

    Transfer Undergraduate International Student Scholarships
    99% of transfer, full-time undergraduate international students (students seeking the first undergraduate degree) receive a transfer award based on the college transfer GPA.     12. Reach Oxford Scholarship, Full Scholarships from University of Oxford, UK

    For studies at: Bachelor’s Degree

    Description
    A number of Reach Oxford scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) are offered to students from low-income countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.

    College: Not all colleges are able to offer Reach Oxford Scholarships every year. If you are accepted by a college that is not participating in the scheme, this will not prevent you from applying for and being awarded a scholarship. If your application is successful, arrangements will be made to transfer you between colleges.

    Other criteria: This scheme is only suitable for candidates of the highest academic ability who have outstanding examination results. However, financial need and social commitment are also major criteria for selection.Applicants should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence following their studies. Priority will be given to students who have not studied at undergraduate level before.

    What does it cover?
    Duration: 3 or 4 years depending on course length
    Value: Course fees, a grant for living costs and one return air fare per year
     Number: Around 2-3 awards per year.

    13. International Scholarships from The University of Bristol,UK

    Description
    26 Think Big Undergraduate scholarships are available for courses starting in 2018. These awards cover between 25 and 100 per cent of tuition fees for the duration of your course.

    Who can apply 
    You can apply for a Think Big Undergraduate Scholarship if you:
    > are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
    > have applied to start a full-time undergraduate degree in one of the qualifying courses at the University of Bristol in September 2020.

    Qualifying courses 
    Any full-time undergraduate course, with the exception of Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.

    You can submit an application for the Think Big Undergraduate Scholarship using the International Scholarships online application form.

    What's on offer?
    A number of awards valued at £5,000 and £10,000 are available to Undergraduate students for September 2020 entry.

    The awards can only be used as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.

    15. Full Tuition Renewable Scholarships for international students from Humber College, Canada
    University/ College:  Humber College in Toronto, Canada
    For studies at: Bachelor’s Degree

    Description
    International Entrance Scholarships
    This entrance scholarship is available for Diploma, Advanced Diploma students joining Humber in January 2021.

    This Scholarship incentive will equate to CAD 2,000 off student’s tuition fees over the course of their first year of studies. Further details of this scholarship are:
    > This merit scholarship is for students with a high academic qualification (students with GPA 75%+ and 6.5+ IELTS) looking to be rewarded for their performance in the senior year of high school, college or university.
    > A total of 20 eligible new international students will be awarded a CAD 2,000 scholarship.*
    > Scholarships will be awarded on the first come, first served basis for students that received their Letter of Acceptance and confirmed their offer before August 15th 2020.

    Eligible students must pay their tuition fees in full and scholarship amount will be credited to the student account after the 10th day of classes. The scholarship will be disbursed in two installments over the 1st two semesters.
