Ministry of Education publishes Top 197 Public Schools for Excellence in Nepal

 To recognize outstanding performance in educational, physical, and administrative reforms, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST) has published a list of the top 197 public schools from among approximately 28,000 schools across the country.

This decision is part of a nationwide initiative to raise educational standards and recognize the consistent efforts of schools that are pushing the envelope in their respective fields.

> Total Public Schools in the Country: Approximately 28,000
> Number of Top Performing Schools Selected: 197
> Financial Assistance Per School: Five lakh rupees
> Total Schools Selected from Each District: 165 (One from each district's constituency)
> Additional Schools Selected from Each Metropolitan and Sub-Metropolitan City: 2
> Total Metropolitan Cities in the Country: 5
> Total Sub-Metropolitan Cities in the Country: 11
> Indicators Used for School Performance Evaluation: 89 (across four categories: Investment, Process, Achievement, Customer Satisfaction)
> Total Public Secondary Schools in the Country: 6,885
> Number of Public Secondary Schools Evaluated So Far: 5,098
