CTEVT Local Level Special Entrance Scholarships for Students Lacking Access to Technical Education


The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, has published a notice regarding the submission of application forms for the entrance examination for free technical education under the Special Scholarship Program for students residing permanently in 78 local levels where technical education has not reached. This initiative aims to provide free technical education to local students who would otherwise be unable to obtain it.

All eligible Nepali citizens who live permanently in 78 local levels where technical education is not available are encouraged to fill out the application form for the entrance examination for the aforementioned programs.

These 78 local levels have been identified as underserved in terms of access to technical education. Students who are permanent residents of these areas are eligible to apply for the 2082/83 CTEVT Special Scholarship Program.

Overview of Scholarships

The Special Scholarship Program offers a total of 120 seats at the local level for free technical education, including 14 seats at the Pre-Diploma level and 106 seats at the Diploma/Certificate level. The completed application forms must be submitted to the appropriate educational institutions/offices.

> Total Students: 120 boys and girls who are permanent residents.

> Scholarship Split: 14 students for the pre-diploma level and 106 students for the diploma level.

Application Form Submission Dates:

> Form Distribution Date: Starting from 2082 Sharwan 11 onwards
> Last Date for Submission: 2082 Sharwan 29 Thursday, up to Midnight (11:59 PM).
> Application Form Fee: Free of charge

Required Documents to Be Submitted

Applicants must submit certified copies of all documents. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Certified copy of Citizenship Certificate or minor ID such as Birth Certificate
- SEE, Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma mark sheet and character certificate, and test score sheet for 29-month SLC, if applicable
- Migration and equivalency certificate (for students who passed from non-SEE boards)
- Recent passport-size photo (35x45mm) clearly showing the face
- For those with migrated residence: a certified letter from the local body showing migration occurred at least six months prior to the notice publication date

Selection Process
- Based on average GPA obtained in SEE
- Additional score weighting:
-- Graduated from Government/Community school: multiplied by 1
-- Graduated from Institutional school: multiplied by 0.85
- For SLC before the letter grading system: marks will be converted into GPA
