- The Medical Education Commission invites online application for the
integrated entrance examination of DM/MCh/NBMS-SS academic programs for the
year 2025.

1. DM Medical Specialties / NBMS Medical Subspecialties

Qualification: MD Internal Medicine or equivalent and Specialty Registration
in Nepal Medical Council (or respective country’s Medical Council).

2. DM Emergency Medicine
- Qualification: MD in General Practice and Emergency Medicine or
equivalent / MD Emergency Medicine and Specialty Registration in Nepal Medical
Council (or respective country’s Medical Council).

3. DM Neonatology
- Qualification: MD Pediatrics or equivalent / MD Neonatology and
Specialty Registration in Nepal Medical Council (or respective country’s

4. DM Cardiothoracic Vascular Anaesthesiology & Critical Care
- Qualification: MD Anaesthesiology or equivalent and Specialty
Registration in Nepal Medical Council (or respective country’s Medical

5. DM Critical Care Medicine / NBMS Medical Subspecialty
- Qualification: MD Anaesthesiology or equivalent / MD Internal

Important Note
Candidates with MD in specialty
subjects (e.g., MD Cardiology, MD Nephrology, MD Radiation Oncology, etc.) and
MS in specialty subjects (e.g., MS Urology, MS Neurosurgery, etc.) are
eligible to apply only for the respective DM/MCh/NBMS-SS programs.
Application Fee Details
- For Nepali Applicants: NPR 5,000/- (excluding additional service
charges for card payment).
- For Foreign Applicants: NPR 8,000/- or
equivalent amount (excluding additional service charges for card payment).
Application Procedure for Foreign Students
- Foreign applicants who wish to apply for reserved seats are requested
to submit the online application form within the specified deadline along with
chosen academic program, and should participate in the Commission’s entrance
examination.
- A separate detailed notice in English for foreign students
has been published on the Commission’s official website.
Entrance Examination
- The entrance examination will be of 3 hours, Computer-based (CBT) and
full mark will be 200.
- Marking System: Each correct answer: +1 mark;
Each wrong answer: –0.25 marks
- To be included in the merit list of the
integrated entrance examination, a candidate must secure a minimum of the 50th
percentile or above.
- Notwithstanding provision (5), if the number of
examinees appearing for a program is less than double the available seats,
then candidates who have scored 50% or more marks will still be eligible for
inclusion in the merit list.
