University Canada West (UCW) Scholarship Program are available to new students applying to a UCW undergraduate or graduate program. Students currently studying at UCW may be eligible to apply for continuing student Awards.

You can receive only one (1) award, scholarship, grant or continuing student award if eligible (limited exceptions apply, see below for details).

Entrance Awards
University Canada West entrance awards are available to new students approved for admission to either undergraduate or graduate programs at UCW.
> You can receive only ONE (1) entrance award (limited exceptions apply, see below for details).
- If you are eligible for multiple automatically awarded awards, then you will receive the award with the highest value.
> Students taking online programs are not eligible for these awards, unless specified.
> Applicants with conditional offers are not eligible to qualify for an award until they fulfill the conditions for full (i.e. unconditional) admission.
> Award recipients are expected to act as ambassadors for UCW and participate in outreach and alumni engagement initiatives.
> All awards are disbursed as tuition credit.
> New Student Orientation (NSO), ENGL 080, and any repeat course attempts are not eligible courses for disbursal payments (even if taken within the disbursal period).

Entrance Awards/Scholarships
If you’re applying to Dalhousie directly from high school (or have not completed any other transferable post-secondary study), please complete the General Entrance Award application to be considered for the majority of entrance awards and bursaries available. These are awarded based on academic achievement, leadership, extracurricular involvement, community service, financial need and cultural identity. Please note, a small number of awards do require a separate application.

Are you eligible?
Generally, students need an 80% admission average or 26 predicted/anticipated IB Diploma points to be considered. Averages are calculated using the five courses that are required for the program that the student has applied for. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply. For the First Nations and Indigenous Black Student Scholarships, the admissions average is not taken into consideration.

How to apply
To be considered for the General Entrance Award program, students must complete the application and submit any additional documents before the March 1 deadline.

University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships (UMGF)
Each year, more than $2 million dollars in university graduate fellowships are offered to full-time master’s and PhD students to recognize and support academic excellence. The fellowships are offered to students who have demonstrated superior intellectual ability and academic accomplishment.

UMGF master’s awards are valued at $14,000 per year for 12 or 24 months, for up to a total of $28,000. UMGF doctoral awards are valued at $18,000 per year for 12, 24, 36 or 48 months, for up to a total of $72,000.

Humber offers scholarship opportunities for select international students.

International Entrance Scholarships
This entrance scholarship is available for Graduate Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma students joining Humber in September, January and May academic intakes for their 1st semester of study. This Scholarship incentive will equate to CAD 2,000 off student’s tuition fees over the course of their first 2 semesters of studies. Further details of this scholarship are:

> This scholarship is for students with a high academic qualification (students with GPA 85%+ and 6.5+ IELTS (or equivalent in TOEFL, Duolingo, senior high school grade in English) looking to be rewarded for their performance in the senior year of high school, college or university.
> Each term/semester a total of 10 undergraduate and 10 graduate eligible new international students wil
> Scholarships will be awarded for students that received their Letter of Acceptance, confirmed their offer and submitted a scholarship application.

Eligible students must pay their tuition fees in full and scholarship amount will be credited to the student account after the 10th day of classes. The scholarship will be disbursed in two installments over the 1st two semesters.

To submit your scholarship please submit the following:
> Humber Student ID number
> Confirmed Letter of Acceptance from Humber College for full-time program commencing in the appropriate Semester
> Personal statement of interest – must include your Grade Point Average.
> 2 reference letters

Please note:
> Students must be enrolled in a full-time academic program at Humber for the first time in order to be eligible for scholarships. In addition, students must have received an official offer of admission/letter of acceptance.
> Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
> Scholarships are not refundable and cannot be deferred.
> Only successful applicants will be notified. All scholarship decisions are final.

International Undergraduate Regional Scholarships from Vancouver Island University,Canada

Vancouver Island University(VIU) has evolved into a dynamic, internationally known university supporting a student population in excess of 18,000 full-time and part-time learners, including 1,100 international students, over 1,000 aboriginal students, and employing over 2,000 faculty and staff. Criteria:
The scholarships are awarded to International students applying for entry into the first year of an undergraduate academic program. The award is based upon the entered grades from submitted High School transcripts. No application is necessary.

International Baccalaureate Scholarship
> Number: Maximum 2 each year
> Amount: $10,000

Criteria:  
Open to all international students who have graduated with a full IB Diploma. Selection is based upon highest average of combined marks from an authorized International Baccalaureate school.  Minimum of 27 predicted points required to be considered. 

No application is necessary.

VIU World-Wide Entrance Scholarships
> Number: Maximum 20 each year
> Amount: $1,000 per award

Criteria:
 Provided annually to exceptional new long-term academic undergraduate student applicants (not one semester Education Abroad or Exchange students). Students who come to VIU for ESL with conditional acceptance into an undergraduate program will be considered for these scholarships. Awarded to up to 20 of the top applicants entering in the Fall semester based on entering grades from submitted transcripts. No application necessary.

Students are considered for scholarships at the time of admission, based on their submitted transcripts and application supporting documents. Scholarship selections are determined 6 weeks after this closing date. A separate application for scholarships is not required, as students will be automatically considered if they meet the scholarship criteria.

Deadline
Deadline for application is February 15th prior to September entrance. Applications open after November 1.

Scholarship Value:

To be eligible to apply to the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be:

> beginning your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2023 (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their studies in January 2023 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered)

International Master and Doctoral Student Awards from University of Waterloo, Canada

University of Waterloo offers Master's and Doctoral Student Awards to international students.

International Master's and Doctoral Student Awards (IMSA / IDSA )
The IMSA program will be discontinued effective May 1, 2019 with the spring 2019 admissions cycle. This means that students offered admission for spring 2019 and beyond will no longer automatically receive this award. Students who were offered the award prior to spring 2019 will continue to be “grand parented” under this program until their last eligible term based on the details below.

An IMSA or IDSA will be provided automatically to eligible international students registered full time in research-based graduate degree programs at the University of Waterloo. Students must meet the academic progress requirements of their program, and not have outstanding probationary admission requirements, or be concurrently receiving external awards or sponsorships, or be self-funded.

International Master’s Award of Excellence (IMAE)
Effective May 1, 2019 (spring 2019 admissions cycle), the International Master’s Award of Excellence (IMAE) will be awarded to eligible international master’s students normally entering a research-based graduate program at the University of Waterloo. The award will be valued at $2,500 per term for a maximum of five terms. Faculties will nominate eligible students based on their award allocation and select recipients based on academic excellence as demonstrated through their application for admission to the graduate program and other criteria as identified by the Faculties.
