The Nepal government decided on Monday to extend its national lockdown by another week till 3 Baisakh 2077 ( 15 April 2020). This the second time the government extended the lockdown.
As the COVID-19 cases are increasing in the country, the government decided to extend the lockdown by another week to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The government first enforced a week-long lockdown from March 24. Amid rising COVID-19 cases, the government extended the nationwide lockdown by one week, until April 7.
As of Friday, the country has witnessed nine COVID-19 confirmed cases. Of them, 1 had recovered and other eight are still receiving medical treatment.
