    Eligibility Criteria for B. Sc. Forestry (TU)
    You can apply for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Forestry Program if you have a +2 in Science, Intermediate of Science (I.Sc.), Technical Certificate Level (TCL) in Forestry, Diploma in Forestry, A-level, or an equivalent degree with at least 100 full-mark courses in mathematics and biology and a minimum of 50% marks overall. Students who want to enroll in the B.Sc. Forestry program must pass an entrance exam administered by the IOF. Students are chosen based on their merit scores. The IOF website offers an online application for interested candidates. Only those students who have passed the admission exam are eligible for this program. Admissions are made only based on merit.

    Eligibility criteria for B. Sc. Forestry (Agriculture and Forestry University)
    Students who have completed I. Sc. (Basic science) or 10+2 (Science) with required courses in English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology and obtained a minimum of 50% overall from any recognized University or Board are eligible to enroll for the B. Sc. Forestry program. An entrance exam is used to make merit-based admission decisions. In terms of a reserved quota and advantages in the admissions requirements, female students and students from marginalized groups are given some preferences.

    Eligibility for B. Sc. Forestry (Purbanchal University)
    Candidates must have passed I. Sc. or 10+2 with biology or mathematics or Certificate forestry or 3 years diploma in forestry from recognized Universities with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or C+ (CGPA 2.40).Students aspiring to get admission into the B.Sc. Forestry programs of PU have to go through an entrance examination conducted by the PU and are selected on their merit scores.

    Entrance Exam Pattern
    1. Tribhuvan University (TU)
    Candidates must pass a two-hour entrance exam with 100 total points that evaluate their proficiency in English, mathematics, science, and forestry (physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology). The test consists of multiple-choice objective questions that are based on forestry and science courses at the TCL and +2 levels. Following are the allocations of full points for the test:
    Math: 20, Science: 20, Forestry: 20, and English: 20 with a total of 100. To pass the exam, a candidate must receive at least 40% of the possible points. The names of students who pass the entrance exam will appear in the result list in order of merit, which will determine which candidates get accepted.

    2. Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU)
    The written test will have a total of 80 questions. Regarding the seven disciplines that students gain at the higher secondary level, inquiries are made. The composition of the questions among those 7 subjects is as follows:
    English: 12, Mathematics: 13, Physics: 8, Chemistry: 13, Botany: 13, Zoology: 13, Forest Science: 13 and General Knowledge: 8

    3. Purbanchal University
    In order to be considered for admission to the Purbanchal University's B.Sc. Forestry program, applicants must pass an entrance exam. Candidates are chosen based on their merit scores.

    The Tribhuvan University's Institute of Forestry (IOF) is the only facility in Nepal that offers professional level training and personnel preparation in the fields of forestry and allied natural resource management.

    Presently, IOF runs academic programs like the Technical Certificate in Forestry, the Bachelor of Science in Forestry, and the Master in Forest Science at two different campuses, one in Pokhara and the other located in Hetauda.     Kathmandu Forestry College wants to establish itself as a leader in forestry and natural resource management education and research. Through education, research, training, and outreach in multi- and trans-disciplinary fields (focusing on forestry and natural resources management), KAFCOL aims to produce qualified and competent human resources, develop resourcefulness, and expand its network in order to address the continuously growing challenges of sustainable development in Nepal and South Asia.
