The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) unit under Finance is
to provide quality strategic insight, financial forecasting and sustainability
and financial analysis to the management. FP&A Manager position having
responsibility for the management of financial planning, analysis, and
budgeting functions for Nepal & Bhutan office, S/he is responsible for
ensuring quality on SCI budget management, proposal development, forecasting,
financial analysis to the Program Operation Department (POD) and other
departments, internal as well as external clients. S/he need to ensure the
donor and member specific budget, expenses, audit guidance and support to the
above-mentioned functions. This includes, but not limited to are – master
budgeting, live budget updates into Agresso systems, strong business
partnering with awards, supply chain, budget holders (BHs) and field finance.
S/he is prime contacts of FP&A for BHs, Asial Regional Office, SCI centre.
This position holder also deals with donor specific audit and compliance
requirements, monthly BVA analysis and monitoring catch up plans, capacity
building of staff and partners on budget management.
The
responsibilities will also include for ensuring that awards are planned and
administered properly in line with the donor rules and requirements and SCI
procedures, in close coordination with budget holders at various operational
levels. This will include ensuring that budget proposals are prepared in line
with donor budget guidance, SCI procedures, and CO requirements; award budgets
are reviewed and monitored effectively so that budget holders are aware of and
advised on the financial progress. Donors and members are provided necessary
information and clarifications on the award progress.
S/he will have significant roles in planning and managing the FP&A
unit functions including supervising and coaching of relevant finance staffs.
This will include support to audit functions, BvA meetings and preparation and
exchange of information, budget management training, and other tasks related
to award information and analysis.
