Kathmandu Metropolitan City's Education Department, Municipal Office,
Kamaladi, Kathmandu, has issued a scholarship notice for students who wish to
study in Institutional Schools (Private Schools) under the scholarship quota
in Grade 11 for the academic year 2081/82.
The placement will take
place in institutional schools throughout the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Scholarships will be awarded based on the results of an entrance
examination.
Scholarship Examination Date: 2081 Sharwan 4; 8
am to 10 AM.

Distribution of Scholarships Seats
Considering the 10% scholarship provided by institutional schools as
100%, scholarships will be distributed as follows:
- 40% for students who
have studied in community schools.
- 5% for students who have studied in
institutional schools on a scholarship.
- 9% for all students who have
permanent residency within Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
- 1% for students
residing in the landfill site-affected areas and studying in schools within
that area.

Application Fee: Free
Scholarship Examination Structure: There will be 100
multiple-choice questions based on the subjects and areas covered in the
examination based on the Secondary Level Class 10 curriculum. It will
consist of 30/30 questions from compulsory subjects such as Mathematics,
Science, and English, and 10 questions from General Knowledge. To pass the
scholarship examination, a minimum of 40% marks must be obtained. There will
be no negative marking for wrong answers.
Examination Duration:
The total duration of the exam will be two hours. Applicants won't be
able to apply to more than one program.
Minimum Eligibility for Application for KMC Grade 11-12 Scholarship
> Should have secured a minimum GPA of 1.6 in the Secondary
Education Examination (SEE).
> Should have complete SEE from a
community school.
> Applicant should submit a birth certificate,
citizenship, or migration certificate certifying permanent residency in
Kathmandu Metropolitan.
> Should have completed SEE through
studying with a scholarship of 10% in institutional schools.
> Should
be permanent residence in Ward No. 1, 2, 3 of the directly affected area from
Landfield Side, and Ward No. 1, 3, 4 of Dhunibeshi Rural Municipality.
